Robert is a skilled communicator. He enables companies to achieve their objectives using business television, corporate audio, conferences, Q&As and award ceremonies. He facilitates people development sessions and coaches executives in interpersonal, television and live event communication.
Robert is passionate about skilful communication and self-awareness, particularly their importance to leadership, achievement and wellbeing. He facilitates individual, team and organisational development sessions enabling people to realise more of their potential by improving teamwork, creativity and performance. He believes the quality of the relationship we have with ourselves is the foundation to enjoying successful and fulfilling lives.
For six years Robert has presented live monthly business television for Land Rover communicating key strategic and tactical initiatives to the UK dealer network. He has also hosted their Dealer of the Year Awards at the Celtic Manor, Gleneagles and in Vilamoura, Portugal. He regularly welcomes new staff to the BBC on their induction programme Upfront and presents a quarterly training programme for VOSA, watched at the UK’s 19,000 MOT Test Centres.
Robert is an experienced conference and live event facilitator. He is engaging, creative and entertaining, as charismatic in front of a large audience as he is on live television. Robert has hosted conferences for Volvo Asia Pacific, Exact Software and the IVCA’s MAPCOM. He has also demonstrated the BBC’s virtual studio technology at IBC in Amsterdam and regularly presents programmes for BBC People Development.
Robert launched Sky Digital to Sky’s major retailers on a UK tour and hosted a national competition to find their Satellite Retailer of the Year. For Sky Business he has presented four series of The Knowledge, a structured training programme for retailers covering topics as diverse as customer service and information technology.
Robert has also coached many senior executives to be confident communicators themselves, including those from the Institute of Directors, BMW, Linklaters and Alliance and Marks & Spencer.
He trained at BBC Television Centre for three years on shows including EastEnders, Top of the Pops, Wogan and That’s Life! before joining BBC Radio Suffolk as their youngest presenter in 1990.
